Paws Care of Montgomery County offers various community programs. We not only help the lives of the pets in need, but the lives of the people who care for them.

Spay/Neuter Voucher Program: Individuals who live in Montgomery County can apply for a spay/neuter voucher for their pets. We use a budgeted amount of monies per year to support this program. There are no financial restrictions. You must download the form by clicking here, then print and mail. The vouchers are awarded on a first come, first serve basis. We use county veterinarians and the Animal Protective League's spay/neuter clinic in Springfield, IL.

Pet Food Assistance Program: To ensure that pets stay in their homes during financially difficult times, we provide temporary food assistance to those in need in Montgomery County. The program is intended to be a short-term resource, not a long-term solution, or a primary source for pet food. We reserve the right to limit the amount of food provided, and only one assistance will be given during each 4 month period. Please remember that everyone with Paws Care is a volunteer. No one associated with Paws Care is paid. We are not a government agency and receive no corporate sponsorships. To apply for pet food assistance, please click here.

Paws Care "Andy & Debbie Schum" Scholarship Program: This Award is available to individuals in Montgomery County, IL who plan on attending a college or technical school in the United States. This year, two $500 scholarships will be awarded. Certain qualifications must be completed prior to submitting your application. Download the qualifications and volunteer form by clicking here!
